By engaging KMBFS Accountants & Tax Practitioners ("KMBFS", "we", "us") for any service — whether requested through this website, the client portal, or by any other means — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Engagement. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with a service request.
KMBFS provides accounting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, administrative, audit and advisory services to clients in South Africa. The specific scope of each engagement is confirmed in the service request, provisional quote, and any firm quote issued following principal review. A provisional quote is an estimate only and is not a binding firm quote.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information and documentation, including a valid CIPC company registration certificate where required. KMBFS cannot be held liable for delays, errors, or adverse outcomes arising from incomplete, incorrect, or late information supplied by you or your representatives.
Fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are payable in advance of work commencing, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For administration services payable online, payment must be received and confirmed before the document submission workflow begins. For all other services, a firm quote is issued after principal review and must be settled before work proceeds.
KMBFS does not refund any fees once a service has been initiated. All fees paid are non-refundable. Where a service cannot be completed for reasons outside your control, or where work is cancelled after payment, any amount already paid remains as a credit on your account and may be applied toward future services or engagements with KMBFS. No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Stated turnaround times are estimates based on typical engagements and assume timely receipt of all required information and documentation from the client. They are not guaranteed and may be affected by third-party processing times (for example CIPC, SARS, or the Compensation Fund) and by the completeness of your submissions.
KMBFS treats all client information as confidential and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy. You grant KMBFS the necessary authority to process and store the information and documents you provide for the purposes of delivering the engagement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KMBFS, its partners, and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the engagement. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
KMBFS may update these terms from time to time. The version current at the time your service request is submitted will apply to that engagement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
