Limitations

• Affidavits are only available to EMEs (turnover up to R10 million) and QSEs (R10 million to R50 million).
• Businesses with turnover above R50 million need a full B-BBEE verification by an accredited agency.
• QSEs less than 51% Black-owned cannot use an affidavit and need a full scorecard verification.
• The affidavit must be signed by an owner and commissioned, and reflects the last financial year.
• Information provided must be true, as a false affidavit is a criminal offence.
